International Olympic Committee(IOC) enters a new era of the Olympic Esports Games – first Games in 2025 in Saudi Arabia
IOC has created history during its 142nd session, as IOC has approved the Olympic Esports Games (OEG), which means IOC has added the esports game to the Olympics.
The first edition is set to take place in 2025, with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosting it.
The award was given to Saudi Arabia because Saudi Arabia recently hosted the Esports World Cup, so it was given the opportunity to host first.
During the 142nd session, when the Olympics were underway in Paris, the Executive Board (EB) of the Olympic Games proposed Olympic Esports Games
President Thomas Bach said on Olympic Esports Games (OEG)
President Thomas Bach says:
“This is a new era for the IOC. The esports groups representing the esports community took part in it with great enthusiasm.
This is a very good table for the Olympics and young people. It is based on the Olympic charter and Olympic values.”

Where will the Olympic esports games be held in 2025?
2025 Olympic esports games will be organized in Kingdom Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia recently organized the “esports world cup”, due to which Saudi Arabia has experience, due to which Saudi Arabia has been able to do this work.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, who is the minister of sports and president of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic committee, says that; –
“This is our promise to eSports, which is the image of our youth in this era. Now we have a chance to write a new Olympic history.
Esport players from all over the world have new dreams and new desires. There are 2.35 crore active esports players in Saudi Arabia, out of which most of them are female esports players.
This is the belief of Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud, president of Saudi Arabia’s Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Women’s Committee.”
